Hey everyone :))) I have been diagnosed with stg 2 oigioastrocytoma 2 weeks ago and just finished cycle one of oral chemo with success. I have 4 tumors that are infiltrative and are inoperable. Can t do radiation because it would be whole brain radiation. :((( Im hoping i have positive results with the chemo i'll be on for up to 12-18 mos. Anyone have the same type of tumor as me, and what treatment are you currently on ?

I have'nt been on here for awhile so here I am.Last time I wrote my story of my son going through his cancer in 2011 and how we got the all clear with him only to find out my husband was diagnosed two weeks later with cancer.

Well I'm off to the doctors once again today. Trying to keep life as normal as possible seems to be changing to doctors, treatments and those lovely needles. Apart from that the sun is finally shining and that boosts everyone's spirits. I might do some baking today. My wonderful mother-in-law gave me her bread maker so the fresh smell of home made bread is already wafting in the air. Yummo!

I can't believe I haven't posted here since August last year. No news was good news! I am thankful that Mum's weight loss slowed down and she has enjoyed celebrating both my kids birthdays in the latter half of last year, my husband's birthday, just before a quiet Christmas and then her own birthday in January. She was even well enough to go and see Les Mis with my hubby (her son) So much to be thankful for.

Well this is the first time for me since diagnosis to actually write down my feelings. Being diagnosed on the 23rd of December 2011 wasn't the best of Christmas presents and everything since then has been a whirlwind. Two rounds of Radiotherapy as after the first treatment it came back and that just happened to be my birthday present. Christmas 2012 wasn't much better as the second round of Radiotherapy wasn't successful and I had to go for surgery. Neck dissections aren't much fun. I had to have my surgery on the anniversary of my stillborn son and in the same hospital.

Geoff started his chemo last Wed, and touch wood, so far he is only tired. As he keeps saying, he is waiting for the storm to begin but maybe this time it has given him a miss. There was one medication that he couldn,t have on Wed, something to do with his heart meds, so whether that has made a difference this time, I suppose he,ll find out next time. None of us are complaining though!!!!!!!
