hey there.. i know this whole world of cancer seems crazy! it seems like an unfair dream, like everything is just going weird and wacky! what is your prognosis of your cancer? my advice is to take one step at a time, scream, shout get angry when you can and take a big breath of fresh air...
there are no guide books as such, i know the cancer council have books available about cancer but nobody can truly prepare you for what you are going through..

blueskies im sorry to hear about your hubby.. will he be recieving any treatment? my advice is to let your partner be angry be upset for a while but dont let him dwell in it.. try n do things that you used to do before diagnosis.. take each day as it comes amd be open about your feelings and fears.. dont let yourself do everything alone.. accept help 🙂

hey there its not a bad thing your writing in its an honest thing.. my boyfriend now has a colostomy bag and im just getting used to it.. its different from his old body but i knw it must bother him more than it bothers me.. i think only time can help with major body changes.. 🙂

thanks guys 🙂 he is much better now although he says it feels like his guts are moving around everywhere and he has some pain... its tiring having to go through this all! i come home at the end of the day from hospital and my mum gives me crap, and im so tired of it all! on the bright side of things the tumor they cut out wasnt cancerous anymore so the radiotherapy worked 🙂

my boyfriend is recovering from major bowel surgeory right now its day 4 but he's still in extreame pain and was sick today which made it worse 😞 has anyone had any experience with bowel surg and how long did it take to recover? he had a bit of his bowel cut out where the tumor was and now has a bag.. it devestates me to see him like that.. 😞 he still has to have his liver and lung spots cut out.. he has one spot on the liver and two on the lung.. it seems that these operations might be done together and it will be something called 'microwave burning'..
i just want him home and better with me! 😞 i come home and cry everynight but im strong in front of him...

my boyfriend has his surgery but we were told just now that his colostomy bag is permanant.. im angry at the docs for giving him hope and telling him they could definatly reverse the operation.. we didnt tell him tonight because he was just recovering but im so scared as tommorw morning the docs will tell him.. i just keep thinking how much can someone take? its not fair! he's so young only 23!
i spose i have to look on the bright side of things and reaLise he still is alive and the cancer from his bowel has gone but he still has to have his lungs and liver done.. (they're burning the spots off).. i just want it all to be over!!!!!!!
thats my rant im so nervous about how he will react tommorw... 😞

hey there i knw how u feel.. my boyfriend got told he would only have a temp colostomy bag now they said its permanant.. it feels like we've been cheated and although im grateful for his life, it just seems so unfair.. 😞 i guess we learn to adapt and cope with this... its the new normal just sucks coz of what we've been thru!

im so nervous its my boyfriends operation finally to remove his tumor from his bowel on monday.. he'l be in hospital for apporx ten days they said..
then after that two weeks after he'l have his lungs operated on and liver to remove spots and nodules.. its been nearly a year now since he's been diagnosed and i just cant believe its come around this quick! im nervous and excited, feeling a lot of emotions all at once! has anyone had bowel resectioning before?? they said he should be right because he's young and will recover quickly..
