coolshoes While having Chemotherapy you can have the symptoms of sweating ,nausea and weakness,but I think if you are having chest pains don't wait to see what happens get it checked immediately if your oncologist said it could have been an unusual rhythm have it checked. I spent most of the time unwell during Chemo but others I know did not suffer we are all different. I remember during chemo I was also unsure of my bodily reactions, better to be safe than sorry you will have different reactions and in time hopefully you will be able to read what is normal.Good Luck kj ... eva15 When I was diagnosed I found that what helped me was the love and support given to me and my wife by our Daughter,always there for a chat if needed, not shy to speak the sometimes unspoken I love you Dad, which still brightens my day when I hear those words, just let him know that you are there for both Mum and Dad, but don't overlook yourself as it is a terrible shock when Cancer is diagnosed and look after your own health there is a balance we sometimes just need love and understanding.And take it one day at a time. kj ... Jade when someone you love is diagnosed with Cancer it is a terrible moment in life,we all take the diagnosis differently, I can understand you not wanting to accept it. Perhaps you could talk to some one close or get some professional advice from your Doctor, they may be able to point you in the right direction or give you some advice on the way forward. Jo One month is still a short time after the passing of a loved one. But perhaps you can mention on how much the loss of your friend and sister in law has affected you ,and how he must be really suffering from the loss of his beloved wife and Mum, the grief process is very personal some people can talk about it and others can't for quite a while, I an sure the nights will be very long and lonely for him maybe ask about them. A friend of mine lost her partner 3 months ago but at the start after her loss it was very emotional and lots of tears,the tears are still there but at least we are able to talk about how she feels and her emotions.Only you know when the time is right.Hope this helps kj ... Kim I am nearly 4 years after surgery and Chemo currently in remission, I can relate to your concerns mostly my thoughts are under control but every now and then when I am unwell a symptom appears, and I wonder what if, but I gain control of my thoughts and continue on my way. Louise That is very good you have a supportive husband to help you discuss your diagnosis with your sons and their partners and provide support to yourself, it is a very emotional time when the Cancer word is used, the uncertainty of what lies ahead can be daunting, but just take it one day at a time ,I found after I was diagnosed that the support of family and friends eases the burden.You are right some men keep their emotions inside but you may be surprised, I found it helped me to talk openly and freely with my family after the initial shock was over. take care kj ...
