It's free and uses user-friendly technology to organise your helpers in the way that works best for you and is easy for them.   We all face times of crisis. Gather My Crew is a way to get the help you need when going through tough times. The online rostering tool allows you to ‘Gather’ (or ask for) the practical help you need from your ‘Crew Members’ (friends, family, neighbours and colleagues) and lets your ‘Crew’ to decide when and how they will help. Hi all,   This is from Palliative Care Australia, discussed in their recent web post:   Palliative Care Australia (PCA) is proud to announce the release of a new mobile app, AllowMe!. The app assists people who are caring for someone with a life-limiting illness by mobilising their existing community to help with practical tasks. PCA developed AllowMe! in response to feedback from carers, people with a terminal illness and friends and family members telling us:   How caring for someone with a life-limiting illness is rewarding but can also be emotionally and physically demanding without support from others. How difficult it is to ask for help from extended family and friends People not knowing how to help, not wanting to say the wrong thing or ‘get in the way’. How difficult it can be for the person with a life-limiting illness to stay connected with their extended network, which can lead to feelings of isolation and loss. Either way, you can register at the link below - it's free!   Breast Reconstruction “What are the pros and cons?” 26th October 2017, 7-8pm (AEDT) For many women, breasts symbolise femininity, motherhood and sexual attractiveness. Losing part or all of a breast may affect a woman’s body image or confidence. Before or after a mastectomy, you may think about having a breast reconstruction. Breast reconstruction is a surgical procedure used to create a permanent breast using your own tissue and skin, and/or an implant. It can be done or started at the time of the mastectomy (immediate reconstruction) or at a later stage (delayed reconstruction). This can be months or years later.
