Hey Livden96,   I am sorry for your loss. It must have been and still is a harsh time. I can relate, I lost my mother when i was 24 aswell to kidney chancer. 2 years later i lost my dad. (now im 28).   it's important you give the attention to your thoughts and emotions as they come up. Take some alone time to process them. Listen to your body, its trying to tell you there is work/healing work to be done. You will get stronger out of this and make your mother very proud. Hi Oswaldbr, What treatment did you have? Are you exercising at all? This could just be something as simple as walking around the block a few times. The exercise can help stimulate appetite. Also, what sort of foods are you eating? If you have difficulty eating foods because it's painful, that's tough. I guess softer foods or maybe food that have been ground up. Hi Shane, I just noticed your comment regarding relief about not having to get a portacath. I had a portacath in my chest, and as long as I didn't go swimming in the days proceeding the chemo, I was told there was no issues with swimming. I also exercised with the port, no issues there at all. Just information incase you end up having to get one anyway. Don't fear the portacath. Hi Phil, As a result of my surgery, I have a hernia that needs attending to unfortunately. I have an appointment booked to see my surgeon, but I guess with everything that's going on I don't think they will be scheduling that surgery for the time being. They can't perform surgery by mobile phone yet. Hopefully your results will arrive soon mate.   Funnily enough, I currently have a 1/4 full pepperjack Cab Sav sitting on the table. There so much a cancer patient is terrified of. Tests surgery’s and being immunocompromised. Then there is C19. Its bad enough that u have the o my god disease without other complications. We hear in the news of many oncology patients that have passed by C19.   I am fairly sure it worries me being a widowed  cancer career. But take heart in the fact that you are not alone on what your future looks like. I hope for all your sakes you come out the other side of this world catastrophe.
