Hiya Linda ... Yup the CC has a website will give you the address at the end. :)
If you are on your way through from hopetown to perth and want to catch up for a coffee let me know. I have made friends with someone from margaret river who also stayed here at Milroy, will catch up with her soonish i think.
Yes i believe that milroy is tied up with the crawford story also, maybe was a name of one of their properties?? Not absolutely sure. I know the theatre room here is called the Tilley Theatre after the people that donated money for its existence. Pretty amazing facilities indeed.
Thanks re me going home too, i cant wait and found out today they have put one too many treatments on my card ... sooooooo monday they are going to be asked nicely to remove it. haha
Cheers

Congrats re going home soon ... me too 😄 ... cant wait either!!! They have me down for an extra treatment but i will set them straight about that one on monday. I have counted treatments about 5 times just to be sure. haha
Glad you are finding Crawford fantastic, its amazing what the cancer council provide. I went to a CC lunch during the week and Judith Fordham was our guest speaker, a most amazing woman. Least i think that was her name. Must check on her book that i purchased. Any profits go to the CC so was worth buying, aswell as being a good read.

Oh hey Willow ... Sorry have only just seen this reply ... yeah i got my good nights sleep thanks and heads in the right place sort of. Am at the end of treatment now and ready to go home after 6 nearly 7 long weeks away from home. 🙂
It is hard to keep one's sanity and yes we do need to find a way to get through each day. I try and keep my thoughts in check to what is happening right here and now, not always easy or doable but works for me.
Hope you are doing ok at the mo.
hugsss

Hey Amanda
Wow thats great that you have gone onto the 3 year mark, congrats!!! I am sure your world was incredibly rocked when your husband got diagnosed, it not unimaginable and yet difficult to imagine how difficult that must have been for you both and as a family.
It was hard being a new mum and being diagnosed, but then i guess its hard anyway. Everyone is affected in their own special way. I spoke to a newly diagnosed guy last night and he is simply reeling from his diagnosis and they have him on the track for treatment asap. I really did feel for him.
I am ok (cept for radiation burns), just finishing off my round of radiotherapy for my 2nd gig of cancer. Which btw is a completely different cancer so i can still say i am a survivor right? lol
Thanks for your message and i hope that you are doing ok and your family too. It really is a reminder not to sweat the small stuff and get on with life. :)
Take care.

Hiya Linda
Well good luck if you do have a bet or are in one of the sweeps. A few of us from Milroy went to Crawford Lodge last night for Happy Hour and a sausage sizzle.
We took our mascot from here who is called Roy. He is a stuffed bird and gets up to all sorts of mischief. haha Just a bit of fun for us and breaks the monotomy.
