Thanks for sharing your story.  I'm really glad to hear you and your wife didn't let this steal your joy on your wedding day.  I'm still waiting to have surgery on Wednesday to find out what I have. Like you my lump just showed up.  I feel completely fine. My lump is in my armpit. I just happened to messaging my shoulder because of pain I was having. I  tore my rotator cup last year and it started hurting  Saw my doctor a couple days later.  Kinda a two in one visit.  They have done 2 ultrasounds and a CT scan. Surgery to remove and do a biopsy is this Wednesday. I can relate to your love story.  I meet my wife over 20 years ago in a chat room. I feel in love with her before I even met her. Unfortunately I didn't want to be in love with her and tried many times to push her away. Every time I did i got a empty feeling.  Long story short we have been married for almost 12 years.  I respect you for standing by your boyfriend side.  I'm sure many people don't understand why you do.  I get it!!! Sorry to hear about your side effects during your treatments.  I can see why you feel the way you do about losing your hair.  I'm still waiting to see what I have.  By end of next week I should know . If its cancer I'm hoping it is Hopkins. From my research it's very treatment able. I feel in my heart it's just going to be stage 1. My doctor's have been amazing. My first doctor visit was 3 weeks ago. My surgery is this Wednesday.  I do feel quilty that I'm getting great treatment and I'm going to be fine when so many young people are very bad off.  I'm a 55 year old grandfather of 4. Thanks for your kindness - I hope everything goes well for you.  Cancer is such a tricky adversary, relentless in how it finds new ways to come at you.  I think the key is mental health and sustaining your hope.   Since my original post, I've moved universes forward from where I was even then.   I've sorted out most of the radiation-thyroid weight (down around 96kg or so now, l lost more than 50kg (then put a little bit back on as I resumed normal eating).  I've been working hard - and the largest part of that stems out of hope.  Hope of survival, hope of a future.   For me, I wound that into being of service - I'm going to walk Brisbane to Melbourne (26.12.21) for a charity called The Kids' Cancer Project.    The Channel 10 show THE PROJECT did a story on it on the telly, here's a link if you're curious:  https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=283341400051472   So yeah, I can't overstate how important it is to maintain your hope.  Even if you got bad news from the doctors, it isn't the end, you should always live in hope of spontaneous remission, hope of love, happiness, joy of some sort in your future.     ... Hi, and thanks for your response. For my part, I just can't see the correlation between the jab and the cancer. I would have thought that those undergoing chemo would be exempted, because of the lack of study data about the jab, generally, and because of the possible serious side-effects, like neurological problems, heart problems, oh and, of course, death.   I do feel sorry for the doctors, though. They're caught between a rock and a hard place. If I was a doctor, though, I would stand my ground, and if losing my license was the consequence, then so be it. I do find it interesting that politicians aren't required to get the jab, though. But then, I'm not surprised by that, either. Sorry to hear about you having cancer . There is nothing wrong with researching online and finding out as much information we can.  My wife's ex husband found out he had lung cancer many years ago.  He researched. Asked questions about it with his doctor. Against his doctor advised he only had a partial lung removed.  He when through treatment and is living a active life and working.  Stay strong.
