If you live in Australia, the University of Sydney and Concord Cancer Centre would like your help by completing a survey which looks at the impact of a bowel cancer diagnosis and treatment side-effects on returning to work.
You may be eligible if: • You are living in Australia and between 18 and 65 years old; and • You were diagnosed with stage 1 to 3 bowel cancer within the past 5 years and have no evidence of any cancer after your surgery and other cancer treatment; and • You were in the paid job market at the time of diagnosis (full-time or part-time).
This survey contains questions about you, your cancer diagnosis, work-related questions before or at the time of diagnosis, and after treatment. It will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. You only have to take this survey once and your answers are completely anonymous. Please access the survey via the information flyer attached below.
Your participation will help to identify the challenges that bowel cancer survivors have, and assist health professionals to improve advice given regarding getting back to work.

Hi Karen 88
It's a shock to receive a cancer diagnosis, and scary to experience this unknown when you have been well for all your life. How did things go with your Oncologist?
If you feel as though you would like to speak with others living with a Pancreatic cancer diagnosis, and you live in Australia, you may consider our Cancer Council Telephone Support Group where sharing experiences and information, participants support each other through the ups and downs of cancer and treatment. Here is a link to information about Cancer Council Telephone Support Groups and how to make contact: https://www.cancercouncil.com.au/get-support/connect-with-others/

Hi Annie67
Our community is a safe space for you to connect with others going through a similar experience to your own, to share your story or read others, to access information and seek support.
Cancer Council has evidence based information about breast cancer surgery and treatment choices, here is a link to this information for your consideration https://www.cancercouncil.com.au/?s=breast+cancer+surgery
My attempts have not been able to find a letter from someone who was advocating for rights to more information about this, however those members who have experienced skin and nipple preserving mastectomy may respond in this community conversation following my reply. Also within Australia you can call 13 11 20 to speak with a Cancer Council consultant about cancer information and support for your individual needs.
I hope this is helpful, kindest regards, Annette
