It's 3am. Can't sleep have those built up nervous energies  again. Nearly 6 months ago (WOW! is that right!!) I felt the same way, before my CT scan. I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. I had half my thyroid removed . Recovery was excellent.  When I had my initial CT scan they also found a noudule on my lung that was to be reviewed in six months. The last couple of months I've become quite unwell, extremely fatigued out of breath, back & chest pain. I'm booked in for a CT scan today at 12. Relieved and blessed the operation is over and done with. And bleesed to have at my disposal as an Australian to have the finest doctors, surgeons and hospitals in the world far as I'm concerned.  Operation went well. I will be speaking with surgeon today before im released. Things are never what  they seem in your head. Having such a tough day. I keep being hit by these waves of emotions.  The thought of the surgery on Tuesday  ...the out come...i have support,  but i hate the thought of burdening them i know its sounds crazy they keep telling me to let them know when im not traveling well. My Mum had a mini stroke a couple of weeks ago, she knows I'm having surgery but we haven't said its thyroid cancer. Hello, first of all if your reading this your also going through your own roller-coaster of emotions...sending you support and understanding.  I was diagnosed recently with thyroid cancer.  I'm scheduled to have a Left Hemithyroidectomy & central Lymph Node Dissection on Tuesday, I'm absolutely petrified.  I feel so alone even though i have support . The covid pandemic has left me feeling even more alone because every time i see a good mate we can't hug and keep our distance.  I understand it totally,  but i really need a hug. I'm trying to be brave. . ....oh and if anyone has got any recommendations for any books that they have found helpful in regards to thyroid cancer  i would appreciate.
