Something changed in my heart over the weekend, a shift from scared and bewildered to an overwhelming sadness for the man who is still with me in body, yet no longer with me wholly in spirit, seemingly between two worlds. My only wish for him now is peace from the suffering. I will miss him when he is gone, will miss him so much my heart will ache for him. But then I miss him already! I have already begun to grieve for him. What a cruel and unforgiving disease brain cancer is!

can someone advise on pain relief from radiotherapy treatment for tongue cancer.

i havent been on here in a while.. update: i married the love of my life.. despite him feeling sick and being in hospital just days before he did so well and we had a lovely day...

I feel so guilty because it has been a long time since I have been on this site and I so wanted to be able to share my journey bit by bit in the hope it would help even 1 person.Anyway that wasn't to be so I am here now and think I can finally share,I had my surgery on the 30th August to have my rectal passage removed,part of my bowel removed and to have a stoma made to have a permanent colostomy.

Why him, why my Dad. Seeing him deteriorate is heart breaking how am I going to get through this...... His never going to see his grand kids grow up, that just kills me!

Hi everyone, I'm well over one year after my last chemo! Yahoooo!!!!! Not that I'm not dreading from everything and anything and raising question in my head almost every day, what if? But at least my energy is back :). Even my neuropathy has lessened a little...will see with that. Take care and let me know if you are interested :) Cheers Vlasta
