Firstly I just wanted to say thank you for all the other bloggers sharing their stories that help me realise I'm not alone in this thing. We only found out on 1 June that my darling Mum has inoperable stomach cancer. She started chemo on Monday this week, and we were all so excited that she would be going home today to try and get back to 'normal' in comfort and quiet. Hi this is my first blog, but somehow I don't feel so new at this. My Mum has advanced cancer she was told roughly 18 months ago of her cancer. It started in the uterus and spread to her lungs. I was told thatI would have surgery the next day and also that my gallbladder "didn't look very good"....it was the surgeon's way of preparing us for the news.

It's funny how you remember so much about your past when you have been diagnosed. You remember the good, the bad, and the ugly. The memories although bad, they are good to have, because it makes you who you are. Cancer can be rough, but for me it has been a blessing, and having it has shaped me into the person I am today. http://www.thecancerstory.com/2011/09/part-11-why-do-they-call-you-slash.html
