Hi everyone, c-vivor is a QLD site where you can find activities for cancer patients. I've joined up for 'box for life' at newstead, brisbane on saturdays for health and friendship, even though its only once a week, its still an outing. Fingers crossed my first session should be this week. Go and have a look, there are activities at Broadbeach, Southport, Townsville, Warwick, Toowoomba, Beaudessert, Airlie Beach, Redcliffe and many more areas looking for volunteers and leaders for activities. yesterday was absolutely the worst day ive had in a while. sometimes i dont feel that i have a place within my own family and im viewed as the "problem solver". even tho i know thats not the case and im very much loved some times i need to just step back and deal with my own needs and as soon as i try... someone has a problem and the want my help.

so we went back to visit the radiation oncologist yesterday... and my dad has dropped more weight. i have started to see some improvement tho, he started asking for the sustagen shakes again. something he hasnt wanted in over a month now. now when i say hasnt wanted... i mean he will throw things at me just for suggesting it. so for him to ask me to start making it again is a huge thing 😛

I've read a couple of blogs, because I wanted to try to understand my friend's situation better, and how or what I should or should not do. The best thing, seems to be there for her. It seems like a simple task but that is difficult for me. I've always been the one to step aside and let others comfort the crying friend. I'm not a very sensitive or comforting person. I'm not a pessimistic person, but i like to make things into a joke sometimes, and sometimes that may be in the form of sarcasm or black humour, which I dont think is too appropriate. or is it? I'm not sure.
