Had my weekly visit with the oncologist today and the news (all things considering) was good. After my week in hospital where it was discovered that my bile duct was closed and causing all sorts of problems (including causing all the blood markers to sky rocket), everything is now returning back down to normal. There's still a couple of markers that are high, but they are much lower than what they were a week ago.

I have just had a masectomy three weeks ago and thinking about getting the other breast taken off as peace of mind. Has anyone has it return. Also my doctor doesnt want me to have reconstruction for at least two years - can anyone recommmend what they think is the best kind of reconstruction.

i guess this has been a while in the making. As an avid social net worker, i didn't feel there was a place i could really share my experiences as a carer with anyone. so for the past 4 months i have held so much in and its time to let it all out.

Hi everyone, With my chemo now underway properly and some of the side effects starting to show, I was wondering if people could give me a little bit of advice. So far my side effects include hair loss, change of appetite and fatigue. The hair loss I can cope with. The change in appetite is something that I can work around so that I still eat properly. The fatigue is the one that I hope someone can give some advice about.
