It is now 15 months since my surgery and I had thought that I was learning to live with altered facial features. But,today and tonight I know that I have a long way to go. Some people have worse disfigurement and difficuties post- treatment than I do and say how grateful they are to be alive but I still wonder if I would have had any surgery if I'd known what I would look like afterwards.

Just about finished my new 1st chemo treatment then my break for 12 days before the next lot of 48hr nausea inducing chemical. Apart from the nausea it's not too hard to handle though it didn't help too much last night when after making sure I had taken all my medication with my very small meal then taking my morphine dose for the night I promptly emptied my whole stomach.

My husband has GBM4 and is doing really well has done Rado and Cemo now on trail with Cilengatide 2 days a week no side affects. Had first scan after op, rado and cemo on 6 Dec 2010 no change on scans so far next scan will be on 16 Aug 2011 3 days after first Diagnosis on 13 Aug 2010. I get a bit scard of what is to come as he is doing so well

I'm new here and not sure how to handle this at this stage as i hve been told i have incurable liver cancer, trying to breathe and take each day as it comes. Tomorrow i go in to have a CT liver scan with a biopsy and also getting my chest/lungs, stomach and pelvic CT Scan as well. I will also will be getting a Bone Scan done too. Trying to be brave and it isn't working with family living so far away, daughter in France, son in Gosford, brother in Qld, sister in Melbourne and my elderly parents in the country side down south 5 hours from here.

Just a question. I tend to do things like push my body to the point of lymphodemia. Does anybody else do the same?

Hi Has anyone had radiotherapy on their abdominal area? My mum has ovarian cancer..... tumour on her para aortic artery and surrounding lymph nodes. We were wondering what the side effects might be in that area? Does anybody know? Many thanks Lisa
