CANCER - Brings fear & dread to those suffering from it. For family & friends of those afflicted with it a sense of helpless & sorrow. It turns your world upside down. All plans & hopes for the future are held in limbo. Today 1st of May 2011 my husband & I would have been embarking on our overseas trip to Europe, except he now has cancer!

We had our scheduled appointment with oncologist today - He was concerned with the deterioration of my husbands leg and arm & has arranged an MRI for Tuesday , we will then see him Wednesday. He does have a concern something may be there so has put chemo on hold (we have had inital 1 month dose followed by 1 week out of every month for 6) till we know more. If there is further tumour, we are eligible for a drug trial that starts next Thursday - timing hey ! May be nothing but would rather know &

so my boyfriend has to have more surgery after having major bowel surgery he has to have open liver surgery.. at first it was going to be microwave burning but its to deep so the surgeon is going to cut him open again to remove the met.. does anyone know anything about open liver surgery? im scared he's going to be really weak and sick like he's bowel surgery.. i just feel so sorry for him and feel so yuck at the thought at going through another big operation.. its draining me heaps and i just want him up and about already! 😞

I have an 18 year old with rectal cancer they say stage 4 pallitive care, we found out in january 2011 after 9 months of her complaining of stomach pains not going to the toilet tests saying your constipated, drink this and that take this enima... off to the emergency 3 enimas there and litres of some concoxsion no tests...

I had a mastectomy & immediate reconstruction last week. The plastic surgeon said beforehand that he thought he could put the permanent implant straight in without needing an expander as I am quite small breasted. But, it turned out he put in an expander because he didn't have an implant small enough!
