My mum is 75yo. I was rung at work by a neighbour of my mums, to tell me that she wasn't well and I should check in on her. This was 22 or 23/12/10. On the 27/12/10 she rang me advise she was in a lot of pain, couldn't eat and was throwing up. I drove to her place in Eastwood area from Blacktown and we went to emergency 27/12/10, after many tests she was told there was a "mass" in the pacreas and was sent home with a referral to a Doctor who was away on holidays until the 10/01/11!!! wt....

I am 34 yr old, was diganosed early breast cancer on 04/01/2011. Never believed horoscope, but when flip through "women's days 2011 horoscope" a few days ago, saw the line"on the 4th Jan eclipse, something will trig you to seriously think about your health" I am Leo. SPOOKY... i had mastectomy done a few days ago. Surprisingly I haven't felt any pain at all since the operation, amazing.. Cheers.

I saw my Oncologist yesterday. Well I thought I would get good news, but he took the wind out of my sails I'm afraid. My liver is in decline. there are new lesions and some of the others have grown abit. Looking at options for 2nd round of treatment now. will see Dr. in two weeks time for these options. Hubby and I have decided to take off for a few days to a week, just get in the car and go somewhere, wherever the wind takes us so to speak. no plans just cruise and enjoy the journey while its there. A day at a time. What else can we do.

Hi everyone, just joined up to this forum and thought I'd introduce myself. I am 47 years old, and was diagnosed 'out of the blue' in August 2010 with Ovarian cancer. Had a radical hysterectomy in september and told my cancer was a stage three. I embarked on a raw vegan diet, gave up alcohol (tricky!) caffeine (equally tricky!)gave up work(easy!)and increased my excersise (much to the delight of my two kelpies)and started meditating.

G'day out there Saw my oncologist today and had another implant. He is pleased with my progress and in particular how quickly I have responded to the last implant three months ago. Apparently by now I should have become resistant to the therapy. There are also quite few new agents out there that on clinical trial are looking good, so the future is starting to look rosy. He believes that my cancer is changing and becoming more like what old men get rather than younger men. He has started to talk in decades rather than years.

hi everyone just wondering if anybodys left work on stress leave? my job is stressfull and i hate it but i cant get special benefits frm government coz im not married to my partner.. just feels like i need some time off but i cant afford to quit on the spot 😞
