I thought Rob getting cancer was as bad as it could get but it seems the universe really wants to keep on testing me and how much I can take. I am scared that this time, I'm not up to the task.

It's 2am and I am awake again. I have laid in bed trying to will myself to sleep for half an hour, may as well get up and 'update' on the last few weeks! Greg has been home for just over a month, what a HUGE adjustment to our lives.

My partner has his first MRI today since starting chemo 10 treatments ago.Results when we see Oncologist on 21st Jan.Its the unknowm and the waiting game that gets to you the most.He has bowel cancer that has spread to inumerable tumours in the liver. He is 49 years old.They say they cannot operate so we are keeping our fingers crossed the tumours have shrunk and haven't spread anywhere else. We just want him to be well enough to buy that Motorhome and travel around Australia catching up with friends and family.

In July 2007 my husband was diagnosed with scc at the base of tongue and secondaries in the lymph system. He had a radical neck dissection followed by radiation and chemo and all that entails. On 14th December he had his 2 year post treatment check up wherein his oncologise ordered a CT scan. On New Years Eve we received the news that the enemy has metastised to both lungs and things aren't looking too great. He is a fighter and filling himself with juices and vegies, vitamins and nuts etc. The news was such a shock as he was gaining weight and looking fantastic.
