I was given dexamethasone with gemcitabine for pancreatic cancer i found i could not sleep I was given them in tablets form as well to take for first 2 days at home.I had it for 2 treatments but dexamethasone was changed for another anti nausea medication.I was awake allnight with dexamethasone even with taking a sleeping tablet. The nausea was bearable with the change of medication but we are all different good luck hope this helps

To get access to super you will have to contact the relevant superanuation boards and find out if you fit there criteria you then need a medical letter from the Treating doctor stating you are unfit for work,a medical is then arranged by superannuation company and claim is processed wish you well in the future with this illness

I met an old friend at the oncology clinic 2 days before xmas last year I asked what are you doing here she said i have just been told i have lung cancer but that it is cureable with radiation and a short dose of chemotherapy they started after xmas she had no problems with chemo ate like a horse after radiation she was admitted back to hospital with dehydration then in and out of hospital regularly we spoke on phone regularly to see how each other was going i was too sick from chemo to visit and i had continual colds so had to stay away 2 weeks ago her husband rang me and said she was in icu she couldnt breathe properly and passed away thursday evening I cant understand how they could say we can cure you and this happens family and friends heartbroken as i am also.

The chemotherapy was stopped because of constant high temperatures it went to 41 i was disorientated and i was getting fluid in my lungs and elsewhere so my oncologist said it was too risky to continue the treatment.I see her every couple of months unless something goes wrong I have a wonderful gp who monitors me regularly my tumor count is very good so far last count it was low still ,am not sure about the different emphasis on adenocarcinoma and endocrine varieties i have adenocarcinoma the weight i have put on has gone to my face, but not the body i am feeling well but it fluctuates, sorry i cant help you anymore I am glad chemo was stopped so is my family i had the heater on constantly I was cold all the time and out of breath hope this helps but we are all different,so good luck in youre battle with this illness.
