The most dumb ass statement I had came from my older sister on Christmas Day when I had had a radical hysterectomy in the August of that year. I too had always wanted kids, but due to PCOS and no steady partner I never had any. On Christmas Day, surrounded by my siblings, their children and my sister grand children, I got a bit teary thinking about what I was missing out on, when my sister said "what's your problem. Suck it up and get on with it. I had two miscarrages so I know how you feel". ......sure she does. I'm glad you have applied to join the Gynocological group. They are a great group of ladies. I know of at least one member who is currently receiving chemo, and there are quite a few who have gone through the treatment and are out the other side of it. I suggest getting a second opinion from another doctor from a different surgery. The other thing I would suggest is to ask for your son to have a PET scan, but they may not do these on a child so young because they will have to inject him with a radioactive isotope. Hi Peanutz, You should not bin any of the medications. Please take them to your local chemist to be disposed of properly (at least the opened packets anyway). You never know who may find them in your rubbish, or what some people may do with things. Your heart is in the right place, not wanting the unopened packets to be wasted, however, health regulations will prevent any medical facility from accepting your kind offer.
