Hi, maybe you could check with the cancer council about what questions you need to ask. You can ring them. Also make sure you have someone with you for support and to remember what you don’t. Hope tomorrow is ok for you 🙏💕 Linda G

Hello, so sorry about your diagnosis and I understand the shock and anxiety that comes with it. You will know more after Wednesday and once you are given a treatment plan hopefully that will settle your anxiety. I just did lots of crying with my first cancer diagnosis and that seemed to help relieve the anxiety somehow. Do you have a close friend or a sister that will support you? You can always ring the cancer council to talk to someone if you need to. Sending you love and prayers 💕🙏. LindaG

Hi Chris, sorry you have to have surgery. Yes it’s a scary choice to have to make. I’m sure there are people on here who have had Whipple surgery so hopefully they will respond to you. Maybe do your own research about this type of op or speak to the cancer council for information. Sending you love and prayers 🙏💕. Linda

Hi Robynmay, so sorry about your diagnosis. All I can suggest for your appointment is write down your questions and take someone with you. Sometimes you can’t remember what is said because of your emotions. I’m glad you had a nice time with your family and were able to be open with them. Sending you love and prayers 🙏💕. LindaG

Hi ChrisG23, so sorry about your diagnosis. I’m 2 years post treatment for non Hodgkin’s lymphoma but I remember well the fear and anxiety that came with my diagnosis. It just would start at my toes and work its way up my body. Don’t know if that makes sense. I always had to cry to relieve the pressure. Once I started treatment it got more manageable. We are all different and cope with our fears differently. Whatever you feel is ok and we all can understand your pain. I hope you have lots of family and friends who support you. Find someone to be real with. Cancer Council are always there if you need to ring them. Sending you love and prayers 💕🙏 LindaG

Hi Courtney. So sorry about your mum. Don’t hesitate to ring the oncologist or hospital if you are worried about any symptoms. My first chemo was great the first day after treatment and then down hill 😢. I couldn’t eat either and can just suggest the protein drinks and any soft foods, custard, yoghurt etc. she def needs to drink!! My chemo ended up being adjusted and then I managed the side effects better. I hope her side effects improve. Sending you love and prayers. 🙏💕 Linda G

Hi Blueberrypie, hope you managed to have your CT scan today. All your feelings are so normal. My cancer diagnosis gave me huge anxiety and depression like I’d never had before. Once I started treatment it improved so I just had to deal with the effects of chemo. I can’t imagine having 2 little kids to look after. I hope you have some friends and family who can help you. Ask for help if you can. Sending you love and prayers. 🙏💕 Linda G

Hi Mafileo58, I felt so sad reading your story about your brother. How crushing for you and him after everything he has been through. You are both so young too. I am a cancer survivor but also experienced being a caregiver for my very unwell mum after dad died. I know some days I would feel completely overwhelmed physically and emotionally. Somehow I got through it until mum passed away. We managed to still have good times and make good memories. You are a wonderful brother to care so much. Just keep loving him, ask him what he needs from you. Make sure you have someone you can talk to honestly about your feelings and get support. Keep praying 🙏. I ask God to give you peace and courage. 💕🙏 LindaG

Hi Angie, so sorry for your situation with your husband. All of us on this forum can relate to your feelings, either as a cancer sufferer or as the carer. It’s just so hard😢. Glad you have family around you but you definitely need someone to be able to let your feelings out with. The cancer council are a great support and maybe you could give them a call. You are being amazing standing with your husband through his illness and working as well. Sending you love and prayers 🙏💕. Linda
