Thanks so much to harker and Jules2 for your insights about the Dex. The psychiatrist got him off it instantly, so you were right there. Thanks, also, to you both and Maddie86 and tfox64 for your support. Invaluable at such an alone time. I hope that I can support others as you have supported me.

After reading everyone else's thoughts, fears, advice, news and words of encouragement I have finally got to the point of sharing mine. Only fair! I have been heartened and inspired by all of you. My husband was diagnosed with GBM in August 2006. The date was also the anniversary of the outbreak of World War 1. Seems appropriate and our battle has actually lasted longer.

Its been 3 weeks and 3 days since mum passed away. Sometimes I feel like Im waiting for her to come home from a trip away, and then sometimes it feels so real and raw. I am hating life at the moment, Iv been trying so hard to be happy and seem interested in life....but really I don't. I just want my mum back. He gave me lots of info and advised me to sign onto the Liverpool Hospital Cancer Centre immediately and arranged an urgent appointment with a liver guy too.

Kevin passed away 28th Nov 2012! It was very peaceful. He took a seizure Th 22Nov whilst having Avastin ( no known connection). Would try again. Was admitted to hospital and transferred to Monash Clayton. The Asphagia and I guess the brain cancer made it difficult for him to communicate and he couldn't stand on his own. I didn't know how I would manage him at home if he couldn't stand to get from the bed to the wheelchair etc. I didn't need to worry as later that day he took a seizure from which he did not really recover consciousness or whatever level he was at.
