New beginnings

Well, I completed my first full day of work today and it was ok, very proud of me...... My insurance is cutting out soon so need to be back at full time work......I am so blessed.....with that said, Im very excited to say that we are selling our home and have purchased rural land in Morayfield QLD and are building again....and we are better off mortgage wise too....and I get my chooks and vege patch....mind you the chooks wont last too long with our german shepherds who love their chicken necks for dinner.

losing hope

my mother in law is losing all hope... it seems everyday is getting worse for her,, if not dealing with immense pain , she is feeling sick . down to 49 kilos. just informed us today if she is given the option of more chemo she wont have it . she seems to have given up and letting it take over... she is very upset. not sure the words i should say, i tell her i am her for her but what do you say to some one who has had enough and wants to get off this ride of hell.. this last week has been horrible for her.. get results of the scan today.

NKOTB (New Kid on the Block)

Hi All, This is my first post ever on a blog and I am unsure of what will occur but as i have read here in the past 30 mins, alot of people share and it has helped so here goes.............. Almost 4 weeks ago now my whole family has had the earth shattering effect of cancer and boy did it knock the wind out of our sails.

New carer member

I am caring for a stage 4 cancer patient with liver tumours... has survived for 12 months with radio and chemo.. is now on more chemo for the next 6 months if lucky. Going gets tough as I have no family support.

Cancer in General

I have been with Cancer Connections since just after I was diagnosed with PC 9 months ago and I have found a couple of friends on this site. However I have found an American site that allows you so much more freedom and access to talk, no matter what cancer you have. The only thing you have to realise is when they talk about procedures etc it is what is happening in USA and we in Australia are at times way behind.
