Hello to everyone, I am new to this sight. I have read alot of the stories and do not feel so alone when others are saying the same as I am feeling. No one seems to understand all the changes that cancer makes in your life. I never understood what it ment to be a survivor but I do now. The medical profession treat cancer by cutting it out and/or with drugs then you are cured. Seems simple but all who are reading this know that it is far, very far from simple. I am a cancer survivor.

I dont have cancer. My father has cancer. I can;t accept it, no matter how much i try. He has been the strength and solid building block of our family and i dont know what i will do with out him. How do i continue day to day and get myself out of this slump. I know im not the one with cancer therefore not the one facing a timeline, but i just cant manage day to day things. How can i learn to handle this??

hi, this is my 1st time on here. my mother in law has got secondary cancer of the liver and at the moment she has had one tace procedure which has shrunk the tumors, but she now has tumor markers up to 2000, waiting on a pet scan on friday... worried about her as she has got lots of pain and doing it tough, on morphine tablets for pain which are making her extremly sick. which in turn is making her more frail..her positiveness is gone at the moment and i just dont know what to say to support her ..scared for her as she looks so frail and i am fearing the worst.

This is my first blog, I have visited this site for the last two years to give me strength and hope in what I can only describe as a nightmare journey .......... but today is a good day and I would like to share my story with you in the hope that it will give someone else out there hope. Just over 2 years ago, just after my 50th birthday, my Husband of 32 years experienced shoulder pain which is no unusual as he was a Tradesman. X Rays and a visit to emergency and he was told he had a "Frozen Shoulder". Three months of acupuncture, massage etc. (no pain no gain theory) did not help.

After 11 months of fighting this horrible disease my beautiful, courageous & strong father passed away today at 1.15pm,surrounded by his loving family. I will miss him so very much. My Hero, My Rock,My Father. I will always LOVE YOU. xxx
