I'm hoping that being online will help me deal with everything that is happening with my dad....It's heartbreaking watching someone you adore suffer so much.

hi all.. havent actually blogged for a long while now... as a few of you know my boyfriend had stage four bowl cancer and went through 4 major surgeries.. bowel, liver and 2 lung ops... he also had 6 months of chemo and radiation.. things were looking so well and bright.. we could finally be happy again... we had such a shit year and now the future seemed like it was going to be ok...

A little over 14 years ago we moved into our house which soon became our home. Across the street within 8 months our neighbour lost her husband to colon cancer. It was so sad to watch her go through the loss with and young daughter and son. Being an only child herself her Mother and her children became a very tight knit family. My neighbour gave provided her children with everything she possibly could. She never seemed to falter for even a moment after her husband died because her kids needed her.

My darling husband lost his 27 month battle with bowel cancer on Sunday 20/11/11. His funeral is tomorrow and I am devistated. I dont know how I will manage to go on without him but promised him I would.This cruel, cruel disease has taken away one of the very best. Goodbye my love Gail.
