i have just finished my 6 weeks of radiation and the pain i have been in is unbearable as my cancer was in my bum!!!! I had squamous cell carcinoma and the burns i got from the radiation were really bad that i could hardly walk, as the radiation burnt all my girlie bits as well. I have been told i cant have radiation in the same spot again so what happens if it wasnt successful, they say an operation but i already had one of them and that was painful enough, how will an operation cure the cancer if the radiation didn't.

so things are finally looking up! my bf had his first scan since chemo a few weeks back, and chemo seems to be working.. its shrunk the spots and they now say they will operate 🙂 feels relieving even tho nothings for sure yet.. i have a feeling a good feeling! 🙂

On Tuesday 28th September last, it would have been my youngest daughter's 42nd birthday. She died of Ovarian Cancer on Jan 1 2002. My daughter Sarah was a vibrant and high spirited soul, had several nieces and nephews, one of whom had a very close bond with her. My grand-daughter is now 17, but was only 8 when Sarah died, posted this message on her Facebook page, the day it would have been Sarah's birthday. I thought it was beautiful, and a message to surviving families who have been devastated by this disease. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, here it goes...I've never kept a blog before and i don't have twitter or a myspace page. But I feel like i'm going to go crazy if i don't find some sort of outlet for what i'm feeling. I'm 25 years ago, and my Dad was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer over 6 months ago. It is stage IV and the i know that the prognosis is not good. I am an only child, my parents are divorced and the rest of our family lives overseas. So i am extremely close to both of my parents, and my dad just means the world to me.
