Yesterday i had my first lot of cetuximab and i tolerated it quite well, apart from a couple of veins blowing before they finally found one. Next one they are going to double dose, not so sure about that. First round of radiotherapy today, so at least that is starting and means it will be closer to finishing.

Hi All It has been 5 days since my mums funeral.. She passed away after a very short fight with lung cancer.. I just dont get it.. How can someone so wonderful be taken from me.. I feel completely lost without her.. I am putting on a brave face for everyone but I am just crumbling inside.. I feel the sympathy only goes so far from people because she was a smoker.. Even i want to be angry with her but I just love her too much to ever be angry or disappointed with her..

After a few months I accepted it and thought it was normal...yet a year down the track I am still exhausted. I have a 3 yr old and that keeps me busy plus being in the paid workforce one day a week. It doesn't matter how early i go to bed, I'm still constantly exhausted! Does anyone else experience this fatigue and do you have any strategies for this?

Celebration time! Saw my oncologist today after the three month bloods were taken last week. Blood marker undetectable, all other blood profiles within normal limits. I was sure it would be, I've been feeling really great recently and, unlike some other times, did not feel I might be kicked in the teeth. One would think I would be blase about it now - eleven years of three monthly tests - but I'm not. Two weeks beforehand I am difficult to live with, fly off the handle at the slightest thing, whether I think there is something wrong or not.
