i thought things were going really well for us lately but now i know i was just living in a little world of my own. my sister who has beat breast cancer twice has just been diagnosed with mesothelioma and has the biggest battle on her hands. they have given her two option, 1. 3 months of chemo, then operate, then 3 months of chemo again. but then they tell her she may not make it through the op. option 2 is 6 months of chemo then operate.

Hi there! Does anyone know of anyone who completed treatment(tamoxifen) and had children after breast cancer and didn't have a reocurrance? Also the ones who didn't complete treatment(tamoxifen)and had children too? Would like to hear your stories if that is ok? Thanks Missy Moo

As some of you know I have recently been in hospital for a total right knee replacement. When I came home from hospital and rehab I had so many messages to read. Close to 350 emails too!!. If you have sent me a message and I haven't replied sorry, and hopefully this combined message to everyone is ok. Would just like to thank everyone for their friendship and support over the last 2 and a half years since I was diagnosed with cancer.

Sometimes, when i read others blogs my heart just goes out to them for the grief, or fear or whatever emotion that is that they are experiencing at that particular time.

48 and diagnosed with pancreatic Cancer 3 days ago. In a bit of a whirlwind at the moment. The last three days have been so busy. Prior to that was two surgical procedures in two weeks. One emergency surgery. Back in hospital on Monday and a port is to be inserted for the commencement of Chemo. (Pallative) Two weeks ago I could walk across the road, take my dog for a walk and live a life free of cancer. Today I just manage to make it to my bedroom. I have done the will, the funeral and told the family. The hardest thing I have ever had to do. There is no false hope here.

I am somewhat bemused when I have the Oncology receptionist, God bless her cotton socks) chase me at work to have an apologetic chat with me. It usually means that a doctor somewhere, in the higher echelons has given her the directive to chase. I have discovered that Oncology doctors only want to see you when there is cause to, which in some respects is great, but generally not when you don’t expect them to call and when you only had this trip a week ago.
