Well, we finally made it. Rob's last chemo cycle is on Monday! It doesn't seem that long ago that we were in hospital, getting the diagnosis and our lives fell apart. 8 months has gone past in what seems like a blur!

I am sitting here now thinking it is so sad to not have family support when a loved one is dying. My dad is 83 and has oesophageus cancer and all my family seems to say " he is 83 what can you expect" But I do expect more- I know it will happen soon but I can't understand why they don't feel same. He was in hospital 2day having stent put in to comfort him a little and my 2 bros didn't know he was there and for once I thought NO I am not telling you as if you kept in contact then you would know. Am I being selfish!!!!!!

Next week i am due to have my first scan after finishing treatment. I have been feeling good and was hopeful for a good outcome from the scan. I have been tired but that is due to not sleeping properly and also being a lot busier with life in general. Until yesterday!! I woke up and my left shoulder was very painful and left arm quite painful also. Today i ended up at emergency because it was worse and they did an xray which apparently shows a lump that they cant explain. So next week the stakes are a little higher when i have this scan done.

I have been with my partner for nearly 11 years and due to the fact that his prognosos is only a couple of years I took the plunge and asked him to marry me. After the initial shock as it was totally out of left field he said yes as he knew it was so important to me.We are getting married at home in front of 80 people (including his two sons,his two stepdaughters and my two sons and daughter)in seven weeks time. I have managed to organise everything in just over a week. Who said weddings were hard to organise.
