i am well into my 28 days of radiation now and an still feeling quite good. i have a small amount of irritation but other wise i am fine. i am not as tired as i was when i first started. i put that down to feeling very home sick and not getting enough sleep. my husband came for the weekend and will not be back now until the last week. its my son's 31st Birthday today and i wish i could be there in person but we will have to have a cake when i get home.

I saw my doctor today and was told I have a 60/40 chance of a recurrence. This has rocked me a bit as I thought my stats were a bit better than that. I am feeling pretty depressed at the moment as my treatment ends next Monday and I feel very vulnerable. The conversation with him today was full of negatives in regard to what I can expect in my future. I don't know who to talk to about this - I have a huge lump in my gut and chest and I feel as if I am about to lose control. I am soooo scared and alone and I can't deal with this fear that is taking over my entire being.

Starting from the beginning.........,probably about Dec 08 hubby had been feeling excessively tired, had no energy, just wanted to sleep whenever he wasn't at work. I remember on Christmas day last year he was asleep in the chair and an older Uncle was commenting about how he shouldn't need a 'nanna' nap at his age.

Hi Everyone I am over 1/3 of the way through my radiotherapy yayyyyy for that. Next week i will pass the half way mark and i am not yet burnt, for which i am eternally grateful. My reaction to cetuximab has been text book, which is making the oncologist happy. I now walk around like some teenager with spots all over my chest and face, kind of confronting and yet comforting as its a sign that the cetuximab is working.
