we all seem to be living on the edge at the moment with Dad being full of beans on minute and then the next mum working out whether she should call the family together or not. There is also the thoughts in the back of my mind that past history has been that when there has been a long weekend or a holiday celebrations that is when Dad ends up in hospital...I have everything crossed that we get through this weekend but I am just not sure. Will spend time with them on Monday and as always take precious time we have together as lasting memories. Love my Dad xoxox

I saw my Oncologist today for the results of my recent scans - not good - I was told I have 2-3 years left. I am feeling a bit numb at the moment - it has not really registered and I don't really want it to. I had been on oral chemo and a drip from October last year. I stopped the oral in February due to side effects and then stopped the infusion 6 weeks ago.

I have joined today. I lost my Mum to cancer on 3-4-2010. Mum had what Drs believe were 2 primary cancers that presented at the same time. Pancreatic and Bowel Cancer. It was extremely aggressive and we were never given any hope for any kind of recovery. I helped my father care for Mum which I must say was a gift I gave but also received. I am 34 Mum, was my best friend and a great help to myself and my husband who have 3 children - 2 with special needs. So as you can imagine I am really missing her - and her advice love and support.

Any one else have any other ideas?
